It is time for another update about our activities on Jinack, The Gambia.

During last summer we started a new project; the renovation of our Jinack Community Clinic. Action was needed, since the roof material, the best that was available during the creation of this facility, appeared not strong enough for the harsh environment.

The roof material, a bitumen product, was cause of regular small leakages, and we feared larger ones if we didn’t interfere. Also the solar batteries needed to be replaced, which by the way, lasted much longer, then budgeted.

The activities were handled and managed by our regular partners, Foundation to Build.

They installed the new roof including a smart walkway and water-tap, for safe and easy cleaning of our solar panels.

The now finished project makes the Clinic future-proof.

A word of gratitude is needed for the members of the VDC who handled the logistics, the transportation of all – heavy and unwieldy – materials.

We will now focus on our Office-House project in New Brufut, which due to special circumstances was on hold for some time. Will be continued

This project is (and was) carried out with the cooperation of the National Commission for International Cooperation and Sustainable Development; The NCDO, Wilde Ganzen, ASN Foundation and many other foundations, businesses, organizations and individuals.
